Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH) has completed its $154 million cash acquisition of ARINC’s defense systems engineering and support business, adding nearly 1, 000 employees to the Booz Allen roster.

Booz Allen said it closed the transaction Friday and expects the transaction to increase its earnings for fiscal 2014, which starts April 1, 2013.

“With the acquisition of DSES, we’re advancing our strategy to build on Booz Allen’s existing engineering capabilities, and to bring to our clients broader and deeper expertise in technical areas such as C4ISR where we see growth potential, ” said Ralph Shrader, Booz Allen’s chairman, CEO and president. “DSES also brings to us additional existing technical support contracts for the US Navy and Air Force.”

ARINC said at the time of the October announcement that it would increase investment in its airport passenger systems portfolio and voice and data offerings, among other areas.
