Karen Campbell Elevates to VP for Marine Systems at Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) has appointed Karen M. Campbell vice president of the company’s marine systems business unit, a provider of power generation, marine propulsion and missile launching and handling systems, effective immediately.

According to a company statement, Campbell will assume responsibility for all programs and products of the marine systems business and provide executive leadership for the company’s Sunnyvale campus.

Campbell joined Northrop in 1985 and most recently served as deputy program manager and director for the F-35 Lightning II radar program.

She has held various other leadership positions in program management, operations and manufacturing during her time with the West Falls Church, Va.-based contractor.

The executive earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and completed an executive education program at Smith College and Darden graduate school of business at the University of Virginia.
