ManTech Wins Prime Position on $7B Software Engineering Contract; Louis Addeo Comments

ManTech International Corp. (NASDAQ:MANT) has been awarded a prime position on a $7 billion contract to provide software and systems engineering services to an Army software engineering center.

According to a company statement, the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award contract from the Communications-Electronics Command Life Cycle Management Command’s Software Engineering Center has a two-year base period, one two-year option and a one-year option.

“ManTech’s use of Agile methodologies has enabled us to increase productivity by as much as 67 percent and cut project costs by 49 percent, ” said Louis M. Addeo, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s technical services group.

The contract calls for software engineering services in support of several specific functional areas, including:
·         communications
·         intelligence fusion
·         avionics
·         command and control
·         business applications
·         financial management

Other services ManTech is expected to provide include fire support, capability maturity model integration and information assurance and logistics.

Work will be performed primarily at Aberdeen Proving Ground but may also be required in other facilities in the U.S. and around the world.
