CTC to Help Pentagon Manage Military Facilities; Ed Sheehan Comments

Concurrent Technologies Corp. has won a potential $90 million blanket purchase agreement to help the Defense Department manage and oversee military facilities worldwide, CTC announced Tuesday.

The nonprofit scientific research firm will provide the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment with management, analytical and technical services.

“This contract provides CTC the opportunity to influence programs that impact all of the military services, ” President and CEO Ed Sheehan said.

“Under this contract, CTC’s support will span throughout the ODUSD(I&E), extending to the seven directorates, two boards, two programs, and one  field activity that it encompasses, ” said Elizabeth Powell, CTC’s program manager for this contract and a 21-year veteran of managing federal environmental programs.

That office is responsible for the department”s environmental, safety, and occupational health programs, facilities energy, military and privatized housing, facility investment and management and basing.

According to CTC, the department’s installations cover nearly 29 million acres, with 539, 000 buildings and structures valued at more than $700 billion.
