TASC Promotes Bruce Phillips, Rick Wagner, Tom Kilcline; John Hynes Comments

TASC has promoted two executives to the senior vice president ranks and a retired Navy vice admiral to lead the company’s defense business unit, effective immediately.

Bruce Phillips, formerly vice president of the infrastructure protection and security business unit, will serve as senior VP of the civil and infrastructure security group and Rick Wagner, formerly defense business unit VP, will serve as SVP for the defense group.

The company also announced Tom Kilcline, who joined the company last year as VP of Navy programs, will succeed Wagner as head of the defense business unit.

“Bruce, Rick and Tom each bring extensive domain expertise to their positions” along with practical experience, Chief Operating Officer John Hynes said in a release.

Hynes was promoted to COO and given an executive VP title in September after previously serving as SVP for the defense and civil group.

“In this time of tight budgets and unpredictable threats, it is essential that we do everything we can to be an even more responsive, agile, and customer mission-focused company, ” he added.

According to the company, Phillips and Wagner join the company’s executive leadership team and will report to the office of the CEO in their new roles.

Phillips is a 30-year company veteran while Wagner has been with the company for 13 years.

Before joining TASC, Kilcline served in the Navy for 30 years including two as commander of Naval Air Forces.
