Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a $165, 798, 787 U.S. Air Force contract modification for sustainment support on an intercontinental ballistic missile, the Defense Department announced Friday.

Work for the Minuteman III will occur at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and Colorado Springs, Colo. through Sept. 30, 2013.

The company is also updating code protection on ICBMs for the Air Force under a three-year, $108 million modification announced in June.

Work covers the second stage of an ICBM engineering and manufacturing development program.

Another Air Force contract with Northrop, worth nearly $463 million, calls on the company to upgrade components for infrared countermeasures systems on large aircraft.
