Michael Carr

NJVC has promoted Michael Carr, formerly acting chief technology officer and senior vice president of programs, to the CTO position on a permanent basis, the company announced Wednesday.

Dave Lavanty

This promotion is one of a series of executive moves as the company carries out an organizational realignment.

Dave Lavanty, formerly SVP for solution sales, now leads the company’s new solutions division and Vince Minerva, formerly SVP for market management, now leads the new services division.

“NJVC is continuing to grow and expand its market reach, ” President Jody Tedesco said, adding this realignment is part of the company’s strategy to provide information technology products to “customers in both government and commercial markets, with a focus on critical infrastructure protection.”

As CTO, Carr will oversee research and development in NJVC’s Center for Technology Integration and will also manage operations of the office of the chief information officer and corporate IT.

The company said he will also manage the NJVC chief architect and chief engineer in developing technical architecture.

Carr is a 32-year veteran of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and its predecessor agencies, where he most recently served as director of the mission system transition office and deputy director of NGA’s East campus.

Lavanty joined NJVC in July as head of solution sales, holding responsibility for growing and managing the company’s federal and commercial market shares.
