Parsons Promotes Mary Ann Hopkins to Head Govt Services; Chuck Harrington Comments

Mary Ann Hopkins

Parsons Corp. has promoted 23-year company veteran Mary Ann Hopkins to president of the government services unit, effective Oct. 15, the company announced Monday.

She will oversee the business unit’s worldwide operations in the defense, energy, environmental, infrastructure, security and intelligence markets.

Her experience at the company includes positions in technical, project management, operations and business development, said Chairman and CEO Chuck Harrington.

The company credits her with helping complete its $350 million acquisition of Sparta from British defense contractor Cobham during her tenure as Parsons’ executive vice president and global business development manager, her most recent position.

In that position, she oversaw development of strategies and business opportunities within the U.S. federal market.

Prior to that, she served as SVP and business development manager for the installations and environment division, overseeing the division’s entry into new markets and pursuits of federal contracts.
