John Goodman, managing director of Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) defense and intelligence business, has been tapped to lead the company’s federal business on an interim basis, Nick Wakeman of Washington Technology reports.
The company confirmed to Wakeman that Kay Kapoor, former managing director and chief executive of the federal business, has resigned from the company to pursue other opportunities.
At Accenture, Kapoor worked to re-position the federal business across markets including defense, intelligence, civilian, homeland security and law enforcement, she told ExecutiveBiz in July in an executive spotlight.
She is one of six executives nominated for Executive of the Year at the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards in the category of companies exceeding $300 million in revenue.
