The U.S. Army has selected a group of contractors to compete for task orders on a $23.5 billion logistics support contract vehicle, Washington Technology reports.
Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) announced Tuesday it holds a position on the Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise program, which the company said is structured as a basic ordering agreement.
EAGLE covers equipment transportation and maintenance services, stock inventory tracking and equipment shelf life monitoring, the company said.
According to Washington Technology, EAGLE awardees include:
- Alion Science and Technology Corp.
- BAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary
- DynCorp International
- ITT Exelis (NYSE: XLS)
- L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL)
- URS Federal Services (NYSE: URS)
- VT Services Inc.
Bidders who are not selected for the first round of contracts by Oct. 1 must notify the Army if they are interested in EAGLE’s second step between Oct. 1 and Oct. 5, according to the report.
The Army will issue the first set of task orders under this round by Oct. 15.
