HP Promotes Mike Nefkens to Acting Enterprise Services Lead Post

HP Enterprise Services (NYSE: HPQ) has appointed Mike Nefkens, currently a senior vice president and general manager, to head the business worldwide on a temporary basis.

The company said he will succeed John Visentin, who is leaving to pursue other interests.

Nefkens — currently head of operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa — will be responsible for driving growth and innovation for HP’s applications, business processing and outsourcing services.

The company also appointed Jean-Jacques “JJ” Charhon chief operating officer, where he will focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery. for HP ES.

He currently serves as senior VP and chief financial officer.

Charhon joined the company when it was known as Electronic Data Systems and previously spent 10 years at Holland Chemical International NV.

At Holland, he held several executive positions in Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela and the western U.S.

Charhon will report to Nefkens and Nefkins will report to CEO Meg Whitman.

Last week, HP announced Ramon Baez as its new global chief information officer, where he will report to John Hinshaw, executive VP for global technology and business processes.
