Cubic Corp. announced today it has appointed Dave Schmitz to the newly created position of chief operating officer of its defense systems business unit, Cubic Defense Applications.

Schmitz previously served as vice president and general manager of Cobham Sensor System‘s microwave business and will be in charge of CDA’s worldwide operations and engineering.
He will also be responsible for the daily performance of the unit’s product line.
Schmitz will report directly to CDA President Brad Feldmann.
Schmitz has more than 20 years defense electronics industry experience in radar, electronic warfare and missile and space domains, including several missile programs.
