American Systems Names Kristen Murphy Capture Management VP

American Systems has appointed 12-year industry veteran Kristen Murphy vice president for capture management, the company announced Monday.

She will oversee processes, personnel and procedures related to identifying and awarding of new business opportunities.

The company said she will be responsible for helping it become a prime contractor and also drive bid strategies, competitive analyses, pricing strategies and business cases.

James Scampavia, vice president for business development, said Murphy brings experience in using knowledge of customer requirements to develop winning proposals and plans for business opportunities.

Before joining American Systems, she served as capture management director at ManTech International Corp. (NASDAQ: MANT) and held similar positions at Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) and MTC Technologies.
