Smartronix Wins $114M For Navy Telecom System Development

Smartronix has won a prime spot on a $114 million U.S. Navy task order to help implement telecommunications and related electronic systems, the company announced Wednesday.

The Naval Air Warfare Center’s aircraft division awarded the three-year order through the SeaPort-e contract vehicle to work with the special requirements division at Webster Field, Md.

Work will include research, design, engineering, development, analysis, prototyping, fabrication, integration, installation, testing and evaluation, training and logistics support.

Sailors will use the systems to exchange voice, data and images.

The company also holds a potential $2 billion contract to to develop and implement information technology software for the the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.
