SafeNet Inc. Chief Financial Officer Charles Neral is stepping down to pursue another opportunity, effective June 30, the company announced Friday.

The company said it will search externally for Neral’s successor and Chief Accounting Officer Greg Repas will become CFO on an interim basis.

Repas will oversee corporate finance functions such as controllership, corporate financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and risk management.

The 25-year finance veteran joined the company in October 2010 after serving as vice president and assistant controller at Black and Decker.
