L-3 Wins $321M C-27 Australia Sale

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) has won a $321, 770, 026 million U.S. Air Force contract to provide the branch with Spartan planes for a foreign military sale.

The Defense Department said Australia will receive 10 C-27J planes and 10 option kits, provided by the company’s integrated systems division.

Australia will also receive 10 option kits, production cost and software reports and contractor logistics support.

Work will occur in Greenville, Texas and the Pentagon expects to complete aircraft and associated kits delivery by May 24, 2012.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity for the firm-fixed-price contract.

The foreign military sale is valued around $600 million total, according to a previous report.
