American Systems has appointed Ruth Bowers as a vice president, where she will lead proposal development and the company’s services center for indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts.
The company said she will participate in all activities related to pursuing, capturing and winning new business opportunities.
She will also lead efforts in identifying, tracking and pursuing task orders through IDIQ contracts.
The 30-year contracting veteran most recently served as a vice president of business development at BAE Systems Inc.‘s intelligence and security sector, having responsibility for programs related to IDIQs, government-wide acquisition contracts and the General Services Administration.
She held similar positions at Apptis, Titan Corp., CGI Group Inc.’s (NYSE: GIB) subsidiary CGI-AMS, Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) and DynCorp International.
In early May the company announced its appointment of John Manning vice president of the company’s acquisition and logistics strategic business area.
