ABA, ROA Sponsoring DC Counterterrorism Law Forum June 4

The American Bar Association and a Reserve Officers Association forum are co-sponsoring a roundtable discussion on counterterrorism law June 4 in Washington.

Judge Alexander P. White will moderate “The Law of Counterterrorism” at the ROA’s headquarters, located at One Constitution Avenue in Northeast Washington, the ABA announced.

White serves as a resident judge in Illinois’ Cook County district, which includes Chicago.

Discussion topics will include law of war, international law, detention, interrogation, intelligence law, surveillance law, trial venues, military commissions and defense counsel.

Panelists will also review the impact of trials at Guantanamo Bay.

Michael Noone and Joel Webber will serve as commentators and authors John D. Altenburg Jr., Philip Bradwell, Michael J. Davidson, Jamil N. Jaffer and W. George Jameson are also scheduled to attend.
