URS Wins Spot On $100M Army Environment Services Contract

URS Corp. (NYSE: URS) has won a position on a $100 million U.S. Army contract to provide the branch with environmental services inside the U.S., the Defense Department announced Wednesday.

The Army received 13 bids through an Internet solicitation and will determine work locations based on each individual task order.

The Pentagon expects work under the firm-fixed-price contract to finish by May 7, 2017 and the Army Corps of Engineers‘ office in Baltimore is the contracting activity.

In March, SAIC announced that it won a $46 million contract from the Transportation Security Administration to help that agency manage hazardous materials and waste.

Work will occur at airport facilities in the continental U.S., Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. Virgin Islands and South Pacific.
