PAE Wins $62M to Support Navy Bases in Africa

PAE‘s government services unit has won a $62, 157, 548 contract to provide operating support services at U.S. Navy bases in Africa, the Defense Department announced Wednesday.

Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti and Camp Simba in Kenya will receive management and administration services for public safety, ordnance, air operations, supply, welfare and recreation.

The company will also help the branch operate and maintain galleys, housing, facilities, utilities, base support vehicles, equipment and the environment at the bases.

Ninety-seven percent of the work will occur in Djibouti and the rest will occur in Kenya, potentially through February 2013.

All contract funds are obligated for the current fiscal year and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command‘s office in Naples, Italy is the contracting activity for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.

PAE is also one of five companies that is providing the State Department with advisers and mission support services under a potential $10 billion contract.
