ManTech Wins $78M to Manage, Operate FBI IT Systems; Bill Varner Comments

ManTech International Corp. (NASDAQ: MANT) has won a potential $77.9 million contract to operate and update FBI information technology systems, the company announced Monday.

The contract has six base months and four one-year options and was awarded through the General Services Administration‘s Alliant vehicle.

Bill Varner, president and chief operating officer of mission, cyber and intelligence solutions, said the company’s Fairmont, W.V. office will perform the work for the bureau’s IT and identification systems.

The company has had a presence in the Fairmont region for more than 20 years, he added.

ManTech will provide engineering support for the bureau’s criminal justice information services division, which shares criminal justice information with various law enforcement officials and agencies.

SRA International Inc. is helping the FBI operate a crisis information management system, which law enforcement agencies at all levels use to share information about large events or incidents.
