Lockheed to Support Saudi Arabia F-15s on $410M Air Force Award

Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) has won a $410, 610, 000 U.S. Air Force contract for sniper targeting pods and data links, the Defense Department announced Monday.

Work on the firm-fixed-price contract will finish by Nov. 31, 2017 and support Saudi Arabia’s F-15SA conversion program, according to the Pentagon.

Lockheed’s missiles and fire control will fill the contract order, which includes:

  • 95 pods
  • 35 multiband data links
  • 70 infrared search and track systems and spares
  • 75 system pylons and data

Robins Air Force Base in Georgia is the contracting activity.

Finland is purchasing $237 million in cruise missiles made by the Bethesda, Md.-based contractor through an approved foreign military sale.

That country’s air force will install the missiles on its F-18 Hornet fighter fleet.
