Northrop Wins $100M Army Training Center Contract

Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) won a $100, 545, 899 U.S. Army contract to provide mission and technical support for a mission command training center.

The Defense Department said work will support the Fort Hood, Texas-based Mission Command Training Center and supporting facilities.

The government solicited 12 bids for the firm-fixed price contract and received four bids.

The company’s technical services sector will perform work in Fort Hood, Texas.

The Pentagon expects work to finish on March 22, 2013.

The Army Mission and Installation Command at Fort Hood is the contracting activity.

The Falls Church, Va.-based contractor won a potential $103 million Interior Department contract in February to support the Army National Guard’s training programs.

The company will provide mission command systems training and mission rehearsal at three locations and has supported these programs for more than 20 years.
