Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) won a $70 million U.S. Air Force contract to provide seven search-and-rescue aircraft, the Defense Department announced Wednesday.
Lockheed will provide one HC-130J, two AC-130J, and four MC-130J aircraft under the firm-fixed-price contract.
Lockheed will perform work in Marietta, Ga and the Pentagon expects Lockheed to complete work during calendar year 2016.
The Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio is the contracting activity.
