Lockheed Wins $420M DLA Personnel System Contract

Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) has won a $420 million Defense Logistics Agency contract to operate and maintain a civilian personnel data system, the Defense Department announced Thursday.

The Bethesda, Md.-based contractor will also host and provide transition phase out services.

The Army, Navy, Air Force, Pentagon and other federal civilian agencies use the system.

This contract is funded under the Pentagon’s civilian personnel advisory service funds for fiscal year 2012.

Work under the firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursement contract will occur in Colorado and Texas.

The Pentagon expects work to finish on March 29, 2020.

The DLA’s troop support office in Philadelphia is the contracting activity.

The company won a position on a potential $985 million contract in February to support the Air Force’s medical service.

Awardees will provide management and professional support services.
