Former USIS CEO Bill Mixon Joins Medical Equipment Mgmt. Firm

Bill Mixon

Former USIS CEO Bill Mixon has joined medical equipment management firm Universal Hospital Services as president.

Mixon will lead sales and marketing functions at the Edina, Minn.-based company and will report to Chairman and CEO Gary Blackford.

Blackford said Mixon’s experience in establishing strategic initiatives for market expansion and productivity aligns with UHS’ plans to create solutions for healthcare facilities.

From 2008 to 2011, Mixon served as CEO and president of USIS, a commercial provider of background investigations to the federal government.

Mixon led the company’s capture of $2.7 billion in contract awards to provide field investigations and operational support services to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
