Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a potential $515.4 million Missile Defense Agency follow-on contract to develop and test upgrades for a missile defense system, the Defense Department has announced.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will field task orders for work on the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, including:
- flight and ground testing
- communications upgrades
- spiral development
The ordering period is from Feb. 1, 2012 through Jan. 31, 2017.
Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala. and Sunnyvale, Calif.
