Lockheed Wins $66M in Air Force Awards for Hercules Plane, Parts

Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) won nearly $66 million in U.S. Air Force contract awards for C-130J Hercules aircraft and spare parts, the Defense Department announced Wednesday.

Lockheed won a potential $58, 337, 555 modification to provide one Hercules plane to the government of Israel.

This is the third Hercules aircraft Israel will receive under a previous contract action.

The Pentagon expects Lockheed to deliver the plane by Nov. 30, 2014.

Lockheed also won a $7, 846, 866 firm-fixed price contract to provide C-130J and HC/MC-130J spare parts to Moody Air Force Base.

Lockheed is expected to complete delivery spares by Dec. 31, 2013.

Lockheed will perform the to provide the aircraft and spares in Marietta, Ga.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio is the contracting activity for both awards.
