L-3 Communications‘ (NYSE: LLL) Unidyne division won $58, 213, 116 in U.S. Navy contract modification awards for work on air-cushion vehicles, the Defense Department announced Monday.
L-3 Unidyne won a $31, 395, 509 modification and a $26, 817, 607 modification to support a Navy service life extension program for four landing craft.
L-3 Unidyne will install an equipment package for command, control, communications, computers and navigation.
L-3 Unidyne will also:
- upgrade buoyancy boxes
- replace gas turbine engines
- repair corrosion damage
L-3 Unidyne will perform work at two assault craft units in Virginia Beach, Va. and Camp Pendleton, Calif.
The Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity.
