L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) completed its $210 million purchase of Danaher Corp.’s former electronic and optical systems equipment unit, according to an L-3 announcement.
L-3 announced in December it would acquire the Kollmorgen Electro-Optical unit and integrate KEO into L-3’s integrated sensor systems organization.
L-3 said the unit will conduct business as L-3 KEO and will produce:
- ground electro-optical and sensor-cueing systems
- submarine photonic systems
- ship fire control systems
- visual landing aids
KEO employs approximately 550 workers and is headquartered in Northampton, Mass.
