Harris Wins Potential $49M Navy Radio IDIQ

Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) has won a potential $49 million U.S. Navy indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for land mobile radios, the Defense Department announced Wednesday.

Harris will provide portable, mobile and base station radios and associated accessories for the Marine Corps‘ enterprise land mobile radio network.

Harris will receive funded delivery orders based on the program’s requirements and is expected to deliver base-year radios by Feb. 21, 2013.

The contract has one base year and four option years, meaning work could extend through February 2017.

The Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity. Harris will perform work in Rochester, N.Y.
