Air Force Adds Northrop to Potential $2B Engineering Contract

The U.S. Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) a position on an engineering support services contract with a ceiling value of around $1.9 billion,  Northrop announced Wednesday.

Twenty-six companies in all won positions on the Design Engineering Support Program III contract, which has a seven-year performance period for use by Defense Department agencies.

Northrop said the Air Force Material Command established the contract.

Northrop will compete for individual task orders to perform work involving operation, performance and life cycle costs of military weapon systems.
