Raytheon Wins $685M Foreign Military Sale Award for Taiwan Patriot Units

Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN) has recently won a $685.7 million Foreign Military Sales contract to provide Taiwan with additional new fire units of the Patriot air and missile defense system.

Raytheon won an award in 2008 to update Taiwan’s existing systems and another in 2009 to provide Taiwan with new systems. The company said it has worked with Taiwan for 45 years.

The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command in Redstone Arsenal, Ala., issued the contract. Raytheon will perform contract work at its integrated air defense center in Andover, Mass., and at locations in El Paso, Texas, and Huntsville, Ala.
