Northrop Wins $540M Joint STARS Logistics Contract

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) a 30-month, $540 million contract for total system support responsibility of the E-8C Joint STARS fleet.

In partnership with the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Northrop said it will support integrated logistics for the 116th Air Control Wing, including all areas of base and depot level maintenance.

“For over a decade, Northrop Grumman has been providing comprehensive and integrated performance-based logistics support to the 116th Air Control Wing, in the United States and at its forward operating locations, enabling top level performance of the Joint STARS weapon system, ” said Dale Burton, vice president of Northrop’s ISR and battle management command and control business unit.
