Citzant Hires Former HP Exec to Lead DHS Business Development

Van Kirstein has joined Citizant as a director of business development, where he will be responsible for growing business with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the company announced today.

Kirstein most recently headed HP Enterprise Services‘ (NYSE: HPQ) DHS sales team for five years. In that role, he was responsible for opening new accounts with the department and implementing HP’s DHS corporate strategy.

Citizant said Kirstein brought on one of the five largest federal government contracts in HP Enterprise Services’ history and recorded $1.1 billion in total contract sales while working there.

He previously held executive positions with Pearson Government Solutions and other contractors.
