Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has appointed U.S. Navy captain Wade Knudson to be director of engineering program solutions on the network centric systems engineering and technology leadership team, effective Nov. 21.

In an e-mail, the company said Knudson will develop strategic direction for NCS programs and be based in the NCS Dulles Hub.

He has previously held positions of increasing importance within the F-35 Lightning II program, acted as director of the Naval Air Warfare Center’s weapons test division and served as commanding officer of VX-30.
