Raytheon Adds Navy Capt. Wade Knudson to Develop Strategy for Network Centric Systems

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has appointed U.S. Navy captain Wade Knudson to be director of engineering program solutions on the network centric systems engineering and technology leadership team, effective Nov. 21.

In an e-mail, the company said Knudson will develop strategic direction for NCS programs and be based in the NCS Dulles Hub.

Raytheon also released that Knudson will partner with company leaders and divisions to address existing and new business growth and resolve technical issues that may impact program performance.

Prior to his appointment, Knudson was most recently a ranking captain for the Navy and served as military assistant for the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics and the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition.

He has previously held positions of increasing importance within the F-35 Lightning II program, acted as director of the Naval Air Warfare Center’s weapons test division and served as commanding officer of VX-30.
