Parsons Corp. has completed its acquisition of Cobham plc.’s analytic solutions practice, known as SPARTA Inc., in a $350 million transaction.
Parsons announced it will integrate SPARTA into its government services business unit, which provides technical services to the U.S. public sector.
SPARTA helps deign, develop and sustain weapons systems with a focus on network-centric, space, tactical and missile defense systems.
“By acquiring Sparta, we significantly expand our advanced technology mission-oriented technical and professional services to new and existing customers,” said Parsons Chairman and CEO Chuck Harrington. “Sparta expands our expertise in the defense and national security sector and represents an enhanced service offering to our mission-critical infrastructure and industrial sector.”
