Harris to Help JTF Bolster Central America Institutions with C4 Systems Administration

Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) has won five-year task order potentially worth $38 million on the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services contract.

The company was awarded work on the Joint Task Force Bravo’s command, control, communications and computer systems operations and maintenance program at Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras.

The infrastructure program supports the commander of all U.S. military operations in Central America’s efforts to advance visions of the U.S. government and regional institutions, address narcotics trafficking and promote partnerships, among other goals.

In building partner nation capacity, JFT-Bravo aims to improve regional security, stability and prosperity.

On the task order, Harris will continue to administer:

  • JTF-Bravo’s C4 systems and networks, including installation and upgrades
  • Computer network defense
  • Information assurance
  • Telecommunications and circuit management
  • Power production at microwave sites
