General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business unit has been awarded a contract with a potential value of $73.3 million by the Naval Surface Warfare Center‘s Carderock division.
GDIT will provide services to Navy and other federal and federally contracted vessels and select land-based sites on the five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The company will provide hull, mechanical and electrical machinery and systems support. It will also provide system training development and on-site technical support.
The NSWCCD is the Navy’s leading maritime technology authority, and specializes in surface and undersea vehicle science, ship systems and related maritime technology, while serving as a technical component of the Naval Sea Systems Command.
