CGI to Develop Cloud Computing Management Platform for Labor Department

CGI Federal Inc. (NYSE: GIB) will develop and operate a cloud-based case and content management platform for the U.S. Labor Department on its first contract award with the government body.

CGI’s will initially deploy a cloud platform for a Labor enforcement agency. This platform will provide:

  • electronic document, records and case management
  • business intelligence
  • business process management
  • management reporting capabilities

“We are excited to begin a new partnership with the Department of Labor, especially on a project that will help the agency deliver on the government’s cloud-first policy, ” said Toni Townes-Whitley, vice president of CGI. “Like many of our clients, DOL needs a secure cloud-based solution that can scale quickly and cost-effectively to support fluctuations in their workload.”
