Salient Federal Solutions has become the prime holder of the Integrated Electronic Security Systems contracts following its acquisition this week of the Electronic Security Systems division of Dataline, a Washington D.C.-based technology provider to the U.S. Department of Defense.
Salient adds access control, alarm monitoring, intrusion detection, video surveillance, asset tracking and other capabilities to complement the company’s mass notification systems services.
“ESS goes beyond notification and identifies the threat, ” Salient COO Bill Parker told GovCon Wire. “Mass notification systems communicates the threat on many platforms.”
Parker said a small number of staff will move over to Salient, with most of the acquisition involving knowledge and technology.
