The Department of Homeland Security has awarded USIS, an Altegrity company, a five-year contract worth approximately $30 million to provide personnel security services for the Federal Protective Service.

USIS will provide the FPS with support for implementing access control, deploying personal identity cards, industrial security and identity management.

USIS will also provide General Services Administration contractor vetting for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act stimulus construction projects.

“This contract award will increase efficiencies and decrease overall costs to the government by consolidating efforts under a single umbrella blanket purchase agreement for continued delivery of personnel security services for the FPS, ” said Ray Tye, vice president of national security solutions at USIS. “USIS will provide comprehensive support and consultation to personnel at Federal Protective Service  headquarters, its 11 regional offices in 10 states and the District of Columbia.”
