SAIC Announces Prime Position on $12B Veterans Affairs IT IDIQ; Steve Comber Comments

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) announced today it has been awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide IT services in support of the transformation twenty-one total technology program.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a five-year base period and a $12 billion ceiling value.

SAIC said it will provide IT services for networks and software covering the entire life-cycle such as program management, strategic planning, cybersecurity and software engineering.

“We are pleased to continue supporting the VA’s IT modernization efforts that will assist the agency in accomplishing its mission of providing the best care for our nation’s veterans, while also reducing costs, ” said Steve Comber, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
