Former IRS CIO Art Gonzalez Joins TISTA Science and Tech. as SVP, CIO

Government IT services and cybersecurity provider TISTA Science and Technology has appointed former Internal Revenue Service chief information officer Art Gonzalez as senior vice president and CIO.

At IRS, Gonzalez set and executed strategy with a $2 billion annual budget for a workforce of 7,000 IT professionals.

In his new role, he will continue to focus on institutionalizing process optimization to increase productivity across federal government departments and agencies.

Gonzalez was previously a Kmart divisional vice president and Oxford Health Plans CIO.

TISTA has a newly-developed project management center of excellence and is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business and Small Business Administration 8(a) company.

“His leadership experience and commitment to excellence complements our pledge to be an industry leader in the technology service sector,” said CEO Ahmed Ali. “I’m fully confident that with his leadership and vision, TISTA will be one of the top ten service providers in the industry within the next five years.”
