Mitch Rambler, DRS Defense Solutions

DRS Defense Solutions‘ technical services business unit has been added to a $362 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity enterprise IT contract with the U.S. Special Operations Command.

The company anticipates the total contract period of performance to be five years with firm-fixed-price and cost-plus fixed-fee line items.

DRS is one of seven companies working to ensure SOCOM’s ability to optimize delivery, sustainment, maintenance and performance of global enterprise IT specialty services.

Work will be performed at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., with additional global support.

“We are uniquely qualified to provide this level of support due to our years of experience in the field, ” said Mitchell Rambler, president of DRS’ technical services unit. “This contract will draw on skills and capabilities perfected during our deployed support of forces in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as our work on the Special Operations Forces information enterprise.”
