DRS Wins Order on $2.2B DISA IDIQ to Provide Satellite Services to U.S. Forces in Kosovo

DRS Defense Solutions‘ technical services business unit has received a Defense Information Systems Agency task order to provide satellite transmission services in support of U.S. Forces operations in Kosovo.

The order is under the DSTS-G contract, which has supported Balkan region operations for 10 years with a full range of global fixed satellite bandwidth, earth terminals and related satellite-based solutions.

DSTS-G has a $2.19 billion ceiling over three base and seven option years. DRS’ order is for $4.5 million.

“Providing communication solutions to deployed forces in remote and austere locations is a core capability for DRS Technical Services, ” said Jim Condon, vice president of the DRS Technical Services’ international division. “We are especially proud of our long-standing role in supporting U.S. Forces missions in Kosovo.”
