CGI, Oracle Collaborate to Provide Tax, Revenue Agencies With System Architecture

CGI Group, Inc. (NYSE: GIB) will collaborate with Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) to offer tax and revenue agencies  two built-for-government software products.

The software products are:

CGI said the complementary products create a service-oriented infrastructure, which fully supports tax administration and lowers costs.

CGI said its government clients have reported that its software has increased their collections by over $1 billion over the last 12 years.

“For over 30 years, CGI has provided best of breed solutions to federal, state, provincial and local tax and revenue agencies, allowing them to meet the complex and changing demands of citizens and policy makers, ” commented Ted London, vice president of CGI’s tax, revenue and collections center of excellence. “In working with Oracle, we are deepening our commitment to bring the best possible solutions in the marketplace to our clients.”

“Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management and CACS-G together represent a powerful solution to meet the needs of our government clients, ” said Andre Van Der Post, global director for tax solutions and strategy in Oracle’s tax global business unit. “Oracle provides a robust tax accounting and policy automation solution. When combined with CACS-G, it offers additional collections and compliance capabilities that provide significant value to our customers, ” .
