BAE Wins Spot on $65M USSOCOM Contract; Paul Falkler Comments

The U.S. Special Operations Command has awarded BAE Systems a spot on a multiple-award contract for information technology services and technical support for special operations forces.

BAE will work with USSOCOM’s IT management office to provide applications maintenance and development, planning and engineering, as well as management and information assurance. It will also oversee the transition of application management services from the incumbent service provider.

BAE Systems is one of seven companies that will pursue task orders under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that is estimated at a value of $65 million.

“U.S. special operations forces deployed throughout the globe require effective, reliable and secure information to protect our interests against enemy networks, ” said Paul Falkler, vice president and general manager of the IT and cybersecurity solutions business for BAE Systems. “Our enhanced IT solutions will enable USSOCOM to enhance and maintain software applications to support their mission.”
