Raytheon IDS Places Engines Order from Cyclone Power Technologies

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, a business of Raytheon Company, has placed an initial purchase order for multiple engines from Cyclone Power Technologies, a deal worth approximately $400, 000.

Named MantaRay, the initial purchased engines are based on the company’s Mark V engine and patented technology. The MantaRay represents one of several engine models and projects on which Cyclone and Raytheon are collaborating.

“After months of rigorous engine testing, we’re pleased to say that Cyclone and Raytheon are now entering the next phase of our working relationship, ” Cyclone CEO Harry Schoell said. “We are designing and building engines such as the MantaRay for Raytheon and their customers, and starting to generate revenue from these operations. We’re very pleased to be working alongside such a well established and respected company and look forward to building our relations going forward.”

The work will be performed at Cyclone’s Florida-based facility.
