DRS, M.C. Dean, Northrop Grumman Sign DoD Deals; General Dynamics Wins Pair

According to the Department of Defense, “DRS was awarded a $7, 045, 992 firm-fixed-price contract to provide management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary to provide satellite based wireless service for morale, welfare, and recreation purposes to three locations within the Helmand province of Afghanistan.  The locations are Camp Leatherneck, Camp Delaram, and Camp Dwyer.  Work is to be performed in Afghanistan, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 21, 2011.  Leatherneck Regional Contracting Center, Helmand province, Afghanistan, is the contracting activity (W5K9FH-11-C-0007).

“M.C. Dean is being awarded a $21, 093, 408 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, fixed-price, performance-based contract for electronic security system and surveillance technology services necessary to accredit information facility spaces for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.  This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $48, 687, 062.  Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed by December 2011.  If all options are exercised, work could continue until December 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.   Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N65236-11-D-2122).

“Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) was awarded a $7, 500, 000 contract which will award the airborne signals intelligence payload Global Hawk objective performance incentive payment.  At this time, the entire amount has been obligated.  ASC/WINK, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-03-C-4318).

“General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) was awarded a $20, 636, 307 firm-fixed-price contract for 440 Bradley reactive armor tiles for the Bradley fighting vehicle system.  Work is to be performed in Aberdeen, Md. (0.3 percent); Middletown, Iowa (0.1 percent); Rochester, N.Y. (1.6 percent); Simsbury, Conn. (9.3 percent); Warrendale, Pa. (0.3 percent); Burlington, Vt. (22.2 percent); Stone County, Miss. (3.3 percent); Fall River, Mass. (0.6 percent); Austin, Texas (0.1 percent); Magnolia, Texas (0.1 percent); Haifa, Israel (42.7 percent); St. Paul, Minn. (1.0 percent); and Lyndonville, Vt. (18.4 percent), with an estimated completion date of July 31, 2012.  One sole-source bid was solicited and one bid received.  Department of the Army, U.S. Army Contracting Command, JM&LMA, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15QKN-10-C-0086).

“General Dynamics was awarded a $19, 044, 109 firm-fixed-price contract.  This contract is for the modification to incorporate the unique materials and labor for the conversion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) M1A1 to the KSA M1A2S tank, for a quantity of 15 tanks.  Work is to be performed in Lima, Ohio, with an estimated completion date of Mar. 31, 2012.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  TACOM, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-10-C-0002).”
